Join EARTH Club members on Monday March 21 2 5pm for our biannualToby Creek Clean UP. Meet at parking lot (14) near tennis courts @5pm. Bags, gloves, pick up sticks and some waders will be available. If raining we’ll meet at the Greenhouse Classroom and show the Lorax

Instead of a meeting, we will table from 5pm to 7pm at the Student Union. Help us table and then stay for the movie

Earth Club: Garden Committee-Meeting Friday Nov 19

This Friday, November 19, we will meeting at the CAB building at 3:30. We will plant and finish weeding the garden until 5:00. Its time to plant and your help would be greatly appreciated. The gardening tools will be supplied. I will send out another email with a schedule of times to help tend the garden once we break ground. If you have any questions or would like more information about helping, please don’t hesitate to email me.

EARTH Club will meet on Monday November 15th at 5pm at the Greenhouse Classroom.

AGENDA
• form Garden committee
o Monday November 8th, Don Ramsey met with 5 members of EARTH Club to design and plan out the winter garden. EARTH Club will form a garden committee and they work on the garden at times of their choosing (and let all members of EARTH CLUB know about the times) instead of trying to squeeze gardening in the 20 minutes of sunlight. The committee will use EARTH Club funds to purchase seeds and plants. Gloves can be borrowed from the Recycling Department.
• Collection of Writing Instruments for recycling and as a fundraiser for EARTH CLUB
o Sanford sent EARTH CLUB 15 boxes for the Recycling Writing Instrument collection. We can spend part Monday’s meeting time, decorating the recycling collection boxes and designing the PR campaign for the program.
• PR for the next screening of “TAPPED”

First Earth Club Meeting Today

The first Earth Club meeting of the semester will be held today, Tuesday at 5:00 in the McMillan Greenhouse at UNC-Charlotte. We will be making awesome earth club t-shirts and discussing plans for the upcoming year to see what people want to this year in Earth Club. We will also be hosting Carly Queen from the National Wildlife Foundation and Campus Ecology. We hope to see you there. Keep it green.

Here are some updates for Earth Club for the summer of 2009. The niner night SOAR sessions will be starting on Thursday, June 11th Here are the rest of the dates for the SOAR niner nights: June 15th, June 17th, June 18th, June 22nd, June 24th, June 29th, July 1st, July 6th, July 8th, July 13th, and July 15th. We will be having our first Earth Club meeting of the 2009-2010 year on August 25th at 5 PM in the McMillan Greenhouse. We hope to see you all around in the fall.
